I became a travel advisor 10 years ago while planning a group cruise for friends. At the time I realized just how much I love research and planning. The process fit so well with my personality: detail oriented, curious, and never happier than when learning and being of service.
Since then, I’ve discovered several travel niches that I now specialize in. After experiencing approximately 50 cruises myself, topping my interests are small-ship river cruising and expedition cruising; both provide an amazing way to see the world while providing the opportunity to learn and explore! Another equally exciting area is small group travel: again, a wonderful way to see the world in the company of old or new-found friends. While I love small group travel, I’m also a proponent of solo travel – which I do a lot myself. With this style of travel, I feel strongly that a well-versed travel advisor is worth their weight in gold. There are many rewards to travelling on our own, but frankly also some areas to be aware of. Ask me about it all!
In all I estimate I’ve visited 43 countries around the world, and I’ve travelled to Europe countless times but know I’ll always be curious to go back. As I write this I’m looking forward to cruises to Iceland and the Greek Islands!
