It all started on a beautiful spring day in Vancouver. April 27, 1974 was the date that I started with CP Air, a pre-eminent Canadian airline at that time. I worked in their reservations offices in both Vancouver and Toronto. This experience gave me a good start in the understanding of complex airline itineraries and how to obtain the best prices for these trips.
A break from this work took me to England where I lived between there and Toronto. This led to a lot of travel in the UK and an interest in promoting this destination.
After this I was the operations manager for a Canadian tour company that specialized in travel to China, India and South Africa. I learned the intricacies of putting together customized trips catering to a variety of travel interests.
For the next twenty-five years until the present, I have been using this training to provide travel services to both the business community and clients who wished to have their vacation dreams fulfilled all over our lovely planet.
I have travelled throughout Canada, the United States of America, the Caribbean, Mexico, Western and Eastern Europe, Asia, India, Sri Lanka and Nepal. A favourite destination is Portugal which I have visited on numerous occasions from Braga in the north to the Algarve in the south.
After travelling to Australia for the first time a few years ago, I took a course to become an Aussie Specialist. This is a continuous learning process.
My corporate travel includes a lot of work with television and film production companies.
